Looking for IT user Support Technician

Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Technician to join our growing team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth running of our IT systems and providing technical support across the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining hardware, software, and networks, as well as supporting staff with day-to-day IT queries.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support for staff, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.

• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other IT equipment.

• Monitor and maintain company networks and ensure data security protocols are followed.

• Assist with system upgrades, patches, and new software rollouts.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot system errors and provide timely solutions.

• Maintain accurate IT documentation, including asset registers and support logs.

• Support the onboarding of new employees by setting up accounts, email, and access rights.

• Liaise with external IT service providers when required.

• Provide training or guidance to staff on IT systems and best practices.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as an IT Technician, IT Support Engineer, or similar role.

• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Mac operating systems, Microsoft 365, and basic networking.

• Familiarity with troubleshooting hardware (PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices).

• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and data protection regulations (GDPR).

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues in plain language.

• Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, etc.) are desirable but not essential.
